Since 2022, we have been celebrating Delta Preservers, Delta Promoters, Delta Improvers, Delta Innovators, and those who so incredibly deserve a Lifetime Achievement award for their amazing work in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta.
Leadership in the Delta
In 2015, the Delta Protection Commission and generous sponsors collaborated to produce the first Delta Leadership Program.
Informative seminars on pressing Delta issues like Water, Environment, Public Safety, Flood control, and Delta cultural heritage, this program offers emerging Delta leaders an opportunity to increase their familiarity with important regional issues.
The program strives to present insights for all sides of contentious regional issues. Graduates come away with an enhanced understanding of the unique challenges that face the Delta, and the relationships to foster the collaborative efforts that protecting the Delta require.
